Got a good deal on B-stock strings

Love my new XJ-1T 5-String!

Oh my goodness, I just received my XJ-1T 5-String bass and I am completely blown away! The rosewood fretboard feels incredible, and the sound is just pure magic. I've been playing it all day. Decent pedal, slight shipping delay

I ordered an Xotic Bass RC Booster a few weeks ago. The pedal itself is solid, really cleaned up my tone and added some nice punch. It took about 8 days to arrive, which was a bit longer than I expected for a small item, but it was packaged well. Good value for what it does, just wish shipping was a tad faster.

Good experience with new bass

I finally pulled the trigger on an XP-1T 4-String with an ash body. It arrived in good shape, no issues. The setup was pretty good right out of the box, just needed a minor tweak to the action for my personal preference. Played a gig with it last night and it sounded great. No complaints, felt like a smooth transaction overall. They include a gig bag, which is nice.

Xotics tend to have really versatile onboard preamps, great for dialing in a ton of tones. Laklands are awesome too, maybe a bit more traditional vibe sometimes depending on the model.

I've played both. Xotic's electronics are seriously next level, super articulate. Laklands are fantastic workhorse basses, very comfortable. Depends if you want more modern tone shaping (Xotic) or a classic feel (Lakland can lean that way).

I believe so, yeah. I remember seeing something about their basses getting a pretty thorough setup, which usually includes that kind of precision fretwork.

Black Friday is probably your best bet for a direct deal, or maybe their anniversary sales. Demo models pop up sometimes with a small discount too.

Direct discounts are pretty rare, usually it's more like b-stock or demo units around 10-15% off. Black Friday might have something but don't expect huge price drops on new instruments.

Yeah, my XP-1T came with a really nice padded gig bag. Not a hard case, but definitely not cheap.

Mine came with a gig bag too, it's pretty solid. Good enough for local gigs, but if you're touring, a hardshell would probably be better.

From what I remember seeing on forums, custom shop stuff can be a few months, maybe 6-9 depending on the specs. It's not an overnight thing for sure.
